Kern County Energy Watch is a unique energy-efficiency effort among Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE), Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas^sm), and the Kern Council of Governments. Our goal is to show local homeowners how to use less energy and better manage monthly energy bills.

WHERE DO YOUR ENERGY DOLLARS GO?
Is your home wasting energy? A simple in-home energy analysis will identify the energy guzzlers in your home and recommend solutions. The energy analysis generally takes less than 30 minutes and is conducted by a trained and certified energy efficiency specialist.

FREE compact fluorescent lamps!
CFLs use at least two-thirds less energy than incandescent bulbs to provide the same amount of light and last up to 10 times longer. CFLs can save up to 75% in energy costs over the life of the product. Today’s CFLs come in shapes and sizes that fit almost any light fixture…indoors and out. Plus, CFLs bearing the ENERGY STAR® label must turn on instantly and provide warm color tones.
